Bukky Amos-Bello announces father’s death in heartfelt post, remembering his love, promises kept, and cherished final moments shared

Bukky Amos-Bello father’s death was confirmed by the actress and producer in a deeply personal tribute shared via Instagram on Monday, 6 October 2025.

She announced the passing of her father, Olaniyi Mofolorunsho Amos, describing him as her world, role model, and lifelong support.

In a heartfelt message, Bukky reflected on their unbreakable bond and the memories they created.

She called him her “forever ajitannawo”, a Yoruba expression symbolising deep, constant love and companionship.

“My clock stopped – my mirror shattered,” she wrote. “My first love, my forever love, my world, my supporter… Sleep tight, Babami. O daaro.”

In an especially touching part of her tribute, Bukky revealed that her father had promised not to depart until he had seen her become a grandmother – a promise he honoured before his passing.

“You said you’ll leave after replacing my love for you,” she noted. “You waited until I became a grandmother. The sparkles in your eyes when I gave you the news… I’ll forever cherish those eyes.”

She described sharing his final night with him, with his eyes wide open, lovingly watching her – a moment she says she will never forget.
