In her remarks, Ademoye described the challenges involved in developing a film project, from script development to production and marketing, emphasising that piracy deprives creators of the rewards of their work.

She cautioned that repeated incidents of content theft have pushed her to take a firmer stance, signalling a more uncompromising approach to protecting her intellectual property.

The actress’s upcoming project, M&R, features a cast including Osas Ighodaro, Sunshine Rosman, and Layi Wasabi. The film is expected to continue Ademoye’s growing presence on YouTube, where her productions have previously attracted significant viewership.

Her warning also comes against the backdrop of prior incidents involving her work being reuploaded without permission shortly after release, a recurring issue that has affected several digital creators.

Ademoye’s message reflects broader concerns within Nollywood, where piracy remains a persistent and disruptive challenge to monetisation and sustainability.
