Nollywood actress Yetunde Barnabas has celebrated her mother on her birthday with an emotional tribute, thanking her for years of love, guidance and sacrifices that helped shape her life and career.

In a heartfelt message shared alongside photographs of her mother on Instagram, Yetunde Barnabas described her mother as her greatest blessing, first teacher, strongest supporter and a constant source of encouragement.

The actress said her mother’s sacrifices played a major role in the person she has become, highlighting the personal efforts and prayers that supported her journey.

“You didn’t just give birth to me; you gave me life in every sense of the word. You nurtured me with love, corrected me with wisdom, sacrificed your comfort for my future, and shaped me into the woman I am today,” Yetunde Barnabas wrote.

She expressed gratitude for her mother’s unwavering belief in her, especially during moments when she struggled with self-doubt.

“Thank you for being my first teacher, my greatest cheerleader, my safe place and my constant source of strength. Thank you for believing in me even when I doubted myself, for standing by me through every season and for loving me without conditions,” she added.

The actress, who addressed her mother affectionately as “Iya mi” and “Wura mi”, said her achievements and personal strength reflected the values, prayers and unconditional love she received while growing up.

“Every achievement I celebrate, every strength I possess and every blessing I enjoy is a reflection of the values, prayers and unconditional love you poured into me,” she said.

Yetunde Barnabas also prayed for her mother’s continued wellbeing, asking God to reward the sacrifices she made and bless her with long life, good health, peace and joy.

“May He bless you with long life, divine health, overflowing peace, unending joy and countless reasons to smile. May your latter years be more glorious than your former,” the actress wrote.
