Ugo Nwokolo opens up about his promiscuous past, crediting Precious with helping him find purpose while reflecting on their relationship

Former Mr Nigeria and Nollywood actor Ugo Nwokolo has opened up about his promiscuous past and his relationship with Precious Happiness Eni, saying the relationship helped him bring greater purpose and structure to his life.

Speaking during an interview, Nwokolo said he had dated numerous women before meeting Precious and described his former lifestyle as one of debauchery.

“I have dated a litany of women in my life. Or better still, I’ve dated a legion of women in my life. And my body count is multitudinous,” he said.

The actor said his perspective changed after meeting Precious, whom he credited with helping him move away from what he described as a wayward lifestyle.

“My point is, before I met Precious, I used to be a very promiscuous man, but God brought her into my life to give my life a semblance of alignment, purpose,” Nwokolo said.

Nwokolo also spoke about what he considered different about Precious, saying she did not approach their relationship with financial expectations.

“Most times in life, a man can be living a wayward life, but when a woman comes, not just a woman, when a good woman comes she arranges his life. That’s what Precious did to me,” he said.

He added that when they began dating, he did not give Precious money, saying she would travel to see him, cook with her own money and leave without asking him to reimburse her.

The latest comments come against the backdrop of a turbulent year for Nwokolo and Precious, whose relationship had previously attracted considerable public attention.

In February 2026, Nwokolo proposed to Precious during a Valentine’s Day celebration.

The proposal was notable because he presented the engagement ring while standing rather than kneeling, a gesture that generated discussion online.

The relationship later appeared to move towards marriage. Nwokolo said the couple had visited their families and completed major traditional rites, while preparations had begun for a wedding ceremony planned for November.

He also said the pair had taken pre-wedding photographs and videos.

However, the relationship entered a difficult period in August after reports that Precious discovered that Nwokolo had two children from previous relationships, information he had not disclosed to her earlier.

Nwokolo subsequently addressed the matter publicly, confirming that he had children but stressing that he had never previously been married.

He apologised to Precious for the hurt caused by the disclosure and said he accepted responsibility for failing to tell her earlier.

“I take responsibility for my actions, and I promise to learn from this, grow from it, and be a better husband to you going forward. I am sorry, my love,” he said in his public response.

Nwokolo also rejected suggestions that his relationship with Precious had been created for social media content.

He said their families had been involved and that their traditional marriage process had already progressed before the dispute emerged.

The former beauty contestant also disclosed that he had introduced Precious to veteran actor Chief Pete Edochie, whom he described as a father figure. According to Nwokolo, Edochie blessed their union and prayed for their marriage.

The uncertainty surrounding the relationship has remained a subject of public interest, although reports have differed over whether the couple had formally ended their relationship.

Nwokolo himself said he did not know whether Precious had forgiven him and said he would respect her space.

“A lot of people have been asking me if Precious has forgiven me; the truth is, I don’t know. I have apologised, and I can only hope that, in time, she finds a place in her heart to forgive me,” he said.

Nwokolo’s latest reflection on his past therefore comes at a significant point in a relationship that has moved from a widely celebrated engagement to a period of uncertainty.

His comments present the relationship through his own experience, particularly his belief that Precious helped him reconsider his approach to relationships and personal responsibility.
