Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in Oyo State, joining other public figures reacting to recent killings and abductions in parts of the region on 20 May 2026.

Actress Toyin Abraham voiced out regards the reported murder of a Mathematics teacher, Michael Oyedokun, allegedly killed by armed assailants, an incident that has sparked widespread outrage across social media.

In a post shared on her official X account, Abraham described the tragedy as deeply personal, noting her strong familial and cultural ties to Oyo State.

She lamented the recurring attacks across the state and other parts of Nigeria, stressing that innocent lives are being lost while communities continue to live in fear.

The actress commended security agencies and the Oyo State Government for their efforts but called for more urgent and decisive action to prevent further incidents and secure affected communities.

She also questioned what additional measures were being taken to protect residents, particularly vulnerable rural areas impacted by repeated violence.
