Omotola Jalade Ekeinde interview goes viral as Nollywood star angrily walks out over unprofessional questioning during MBGN Daily Time session

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde caused a stir online after walking out of an interview during the MBGN Daily Time session.

The legendary actress was asked to state her name and identity, a question that reportedly left her frustrated.

In the viral clip, Omotola, visibly annoyed, told the interviewer to repeat himself.

When the interviewer again asked who she was, she told him not to touch her before leaving the session, while he pleaded for a response.

Social media reactions to the incident were mixed. One user, cham_mmy, noted that “there is nothing wrong with you mentioning your name to boost his confidence to grow in his field.” Another, melanin_ruth, criticised the interviewer, saying, “He isn’t professional.” Several fans, including theamybenson and Wendy_Juliaa, questioned the interviewer’s composure, while dejirozay_ argued Omotola could have shown more grace.

Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has previously sparked debate over professionalism in Nollywood.

She once stated that she would not dance to promote her movies, arguing that quality films deserve structured promotion.

This follows remarks by filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, who said he prioritises meaningful revenue over box office numbers and criticised colleagues for promoting films through dancing.

Last year, Omotola lamented Nollywood’s lack of structure compared with Hollywood, highlighting that while she receives monthly residuals for four years of work in Hollywood, she received none after 30 years in Nollywood.
