The actress shared footage of the accident on her Instagram page, showing the moment a motorbike carrying her and fellow actor Victory Michael reportedly lost control and crashed into a pole while filming a scene on set.

Describing the incident, Omeche Oko said the experience underscored the fragility of life and the risks involved in film production.

She wrote, “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said no. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”

The incident has sparked concern within Nollywood, with colleagues and industry figures flooding her comment section with messages of support and prayers for a quick recovery.

Prominent actors including Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike and Chizzy Alichi, alongside producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong, were among those who publicly expressed sympathy and encouragement.

Film industry observers note that on-set accidents, particularly involving stunts and physical scenes, remain a recurring safety concern in Nigerian movie production, where tight schedules and limited resources can increase production risks.
