Veteran Nigerian actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed for financial assistance from the public, fans and colleagues as she seeks support for three urgent life-saving surgeries while undergoing treatment in hospital.

Nwosu made the emotional appeal in a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday evening, where she revealed that she had been hospitalised for three weeks and required N30 million to fund the medical procedures.

The respected actress, known for her decades-long contribution to Nigeria’s film industry, said she decided to speak publicly about her health challenge after struggling to remain silent.

“I can’t keep quiet anymore,” Nwosu said in the video.

Appearing from a hospital bed, the actress appealed for support from her fans, friends, family members and colleagues, describing the decision to ask for help as difficult but necessary.

“I have been hospitalised for three weeks. Please I need your help, don’t let me die. My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries,” she said.

Nwosu did not disclose the nature of her illness but confirmed that her medical condition requires immediate attention.

She also shared payment details and encouraged members of the public to share her message and contribute if they are able to do so.

“Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you and may you and yours never experience this affliction,” she wrote.

The actress has enjoyed a long career in Nollywood, earning recognition for her performances in both television and film productions.
