Iyabo Ojo Arinzo premiere success was confirmed in a heartfelt message shared after the launch, where the actress expressed deep appreciation to all contributors and attendees who made the event a memorable one.

The premiere, held on Sunday night in Lagos, attracted celebrities, industry stakeholders, and fans, even as a viral moment involving Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele stirred conversations online.

In her message, Iyabo Ojo thanked organisers, co-executive producers, cast members, crew, and media teams for delivering what she described as a successful and vibrant outing.

“I want to start by giving thanks to God Almighty for making the premiere launch of The Return of Arinzo a beautiful success,” she said. “To everyone who came out, supported, and celebrated with us, thank you.”

The actress also acknowledged the presence of distinguished guests, content creators, comedians, musicians, and her family, noting that their support added colour and energy to the event.

Iyabo Ojo stated that she deliberately avoided naming individuals, emphasising that the list of contributors was extensive but deeply valued.

She encouraged the public to support the film, which is scheduled for cinema release on April 3, 2026.

While the premiere was largely successful, attention was partly diverted by a widely shared clip showing an apparent snub between Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele.

The moment sparked intense reactions and reignited discussions about rivalry within Nollywood.

Despite the distraction, Iyabo Ojo maintained focus on the film’s achievement, projecting optimism for its cinema run and urging audiences to spread the word.

The development comes shortly after the actress addressed separate controversies, including distancing herself from a fan accused of misconduct and clarifying claims about her relationship with her goddaughter, Fola Tinubu.
