IK Ogbonna defends Ini Edo over film *A Very Dirty Christmas*, criticising CAN for delayed objections and stressing fairness and consistency

In a statement on Instagram, Ogbonna expressed disappointment with CAN, questioning their delayed reaction.

He noted that promotions for the film had been ongoing for months without objection, and the title had already been officially approved by the National Film and Video Censors Board.

“TBH! I am deeply disappointed with CAN. You saw the promotions for this title for months and said nothing. The movie title was officially approved by the Censors Board, and we moved forward in good faith,” Ogbonna wrote.

The actor highlighted that the film is now showing nationwide and performing well, making the timing of CAN’s complaint appear inconsistent.

“How Christian is it to stay silent all along, then speak only when progress has been made? This isn’t about conflict – it’s about fairness, consistency, and integrity,” he added.
