Faithia Williams returns to work after her mother’s burial, announcing plans to promote her debut cinema project, “Efunroye: The Unicorn.”

Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has announced her return to work following the burial of her mother, as she begins promoting her debut cinema project, Efunroye: The Unicorn.

The film, scheduled to premiere on May 1, 2026, tells the story of Efunroye Tinubu, a 19th-century Yoruba aristocrat and influential merchant.

In an Instagram post, Williams expressed appreciation for the support she received during her period of mourning.

She described the past weeks as emotional and thanked fans, friends, and colleagues for their prayers and messages.

“I am officially returning to work as we begin the journey of promoting my debut cinema project as a producer,” she wrote, adding that the film holds deep personal significance.

The actress also revealed that while her mother has been laid to rest, the family plans to hold a larger celebration of her life and legacy next year.

“For now, I am channelling my strength back into my work,” she said, noting that she is open to collaborations and partnerships to take the project to wider audiences.
