Nollywood legend Eucharia Anunobi recalls how she bagged her role in Glamour Girls 2, the huge pay she received, and shooting the iconic bathtub scene

Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has shared insights into how she landed her role as Anita in the blockbuster Glamour Girls 2 about 30 years ago.

In a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, the movie legend revealed that she secured the role after attending an audition and agreeing to play the unconventional character.

“After I accepted to play the role of Anita in Glamour Girls 2, the producer asked me how much I would like to be paid and I told him. I was expecting him to negotiate, but he accepted without negotiation,” she said.

Eucharia noted that the pay was substantial at the time, adding that some Nollywood actors today still don’t earn that much. She, however, declined to disclose the exact amount.

The actress also revisited the famous bathtub scene with Zack Orji, clarifying that contrary to rumours, nothing romantic happened on set.

“When I got to the bathtub, I had to raise my leg and put it on his shoulder and push my derrière nearer him… Everybody was thinking something don happen. But it was just acting,” she explained, adding that she received extra payment for the controversial scene.
