Speaking on the #WithChude podcast, Efa shared how his speech disorder deeply impacted his confidence growing up. “I was born a stammerer,” he told host Chude Jideonwo, recalling moments when his elder brother patiently coached him through basic conversations.

“Take your time, breathe, think about what you want to say before you say it,” his brother would say—advice that became a foundation for Efa’s future in acting and music.

Though today he’s celebrated for his articulate performances, especially in Netflix’s **King of Boys: The Return of the King**, Efa’s journey began in quiet struggle, not spotlight.

He also revealed how 2Baba reignited his passion after a stage mishap during his early music career, calling it a moment that expanded his vision.

Efa praised director Kemi Adetiba for her role in helping him reach new heights. “Her energy, her drive is enviable… it was magical,” he said of working with her on King of Boys.
