She clarified the singer’s financial status at the time of their first meeting and called for an independent DNA test to resolve lingering questions.

Labinjoh said Davido was not wealthy when they met in 2013, describing him as an upcoming artist and the son of a businessman.

Their first encounter reportedly took place at the Dami Duro concert after-party in Ibadan.

She stressed that public narratives suggesting otherwise were misleading.

The mother also criticised media personalities for their handling of the dispute.

Labinjoh urged broadcaster Daddy Freeze to encourage Davido to undertake an independent DNA test rather than publicly defending him.

She questioned why journalist and family associate Dele Momodu had not intervened in the matter.

Labinjoh recounted past interactions with Davido, including his sending of money on the day of Anu Adeleke’s naming ceremony in November 2013, and alleged that investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has sent ₦300,000 annually to them since 2018.

Highlighting the emotional toll on her daughter, Labinjoh emphasised that children like Anu, when abandoned or treated unfairly, often express themselves vocally, a fact she felt the public misunderstood.

She noted that five DNA tests had allegedly been conducted over the years, covering Anu and her half-siblings: Anu Adeleke (September 2014), Imade Adeleke (June 2015), Hailey Adeleke (May 2017), Dawson Adeleke (June 2021), and Ivanna Bayy (June 2023).

Labinjoh also claimed that Davido attempted to contact her via video call during his 2025 Ibadan tour, questioning whether the communication was genuinely for a DNA test or prompted by social media activity.

Concluding her statement, Labinjoh reaffirmed her faith in God and thanked the support of USIN Nigeria.
