According to Umeh, the award-winning actress, who grew up in a devout Catholic household, was a legionary and maintained strict values that influenced her role selection.

“She doesn’t accept kissing or romantic roles in movies. I’m saying this out of experience. She has been a good girl,” Umeh said.

However, contrary to that assertion, Chioma Chukwuka has played romantic roles in multiple Nollywood films.

In her recent movie Seven Doors, she was seen sharing an on-screen kiss with actor Femi Adebayo, showing her willingness to adapt when the script requires it.

The revelation has sparked debate among Nollywood fans, with some supporting Umeh’s claim about Chukwuka’s conservative values, while others point to her body of work as evidence that she has embraced romance roles when necessary.

As discussions continue, the actress herself has yet to publicly address the contrasting narratives about her career choices.
