“I want to keep my relationship private; just know that I am in a happy place. And I feel my partner didn’t ask for this life, fame, so I feel it’s unfair to drag him into it,” she said.

She added that keeping certain aspects of her life away from the public makes it more difficult for outsiders to hurt her through their comments.

“What people don’t know is that they can’t hurt. So, I would rather say I am happy and blessed. God is good,” the actress stated.

Beyond her relationship, the actress opened up about dealing with bullying and negative comments, admitting that hurtful remarks sometimes affect her despite her experience in the industry.

Ogunmola explained that she has learnt not to spend too much time defending herself against public criticism, noting that some people may remain determined to hold on to their opinions regardless of what she says.

“I am very soft. Hurtful words get to me a lot. But I have come to realise it gets worse if you keep explaining yourself,” she said.

According to her, people will continue to have opinions, and trying to convince everyone to see things differently can become exhausting.

“People will always talk, and you can never be right in front of people who want you to be wrong. If they have a mindset about you, it will never change. So, do you and move on,” she added.

Her remarks reflect a growing emphasis on setting personal boundaries and protecting one’s peace amid the scrutiny that often accompanies life in the public eye.

Ogunmola also discussed how her approach to work and personal development has changed over time, explaining that experiences she once considered mistakes have become valuable lessons.

She recalled feeling pressure to improve her next production constantly and to compete with others in the industry, sometimes doing things simply because they had become popular.

However, she said she has since learnt to focus on her own path and make decisions based on what works for her.

“I call them mistakes, but they are learning curves. It’s never a failure; it’s a lesson learned,” she said.

“There was the pressure of trying to be better in my next production and competing with everyone else; doing things because everyone was doing them. I don’t do that anymore. I focus on my lane and do what works for me,” the actress added.

Ogunmola further cautioned against judging the success of YouTube films by their view counts alone.

She noted that factors such as audience location, advertising and seasonal trends can influence performance, making it necessary to consider the wider picture before drawing conclusions.

Her comments highlight the lessons she has learnt about navigating the entertainment industry while maintaining her individuality.
