Following the announcement, Egwu expressed appreciation to the people who contributed to the production, acknowledging the collective effort involved in bringing the film to the screen.

He specifically recognised co-director Wale Ilebiyi for his contribution, alongside the cast and crew whose work helped bring the project to fruition.

The filmmaker also celebrated the award as a shared achievement, recognising the commitment of those involved in the production.

In a heartfelt gesture, Egwu dedicated the award to late Nollywood veteran Mrs Alwell Ademola Eniobanke, paying tribute to her contribution to the Nigerian film industry.
