Angela Okorie Rosy Meurer clarification sees actress deny targeting her colleague, saying her viral post was advice to women, not a personal attack

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has issued a firm clarification denying that her recent social media post was directed at fellow actress Rosy Meurer, following widespread speculation online.

The controversy began after Okorie shared a pointed message warning against pursuing relationships with already committed partners, stating that “nothing lasts for a husband’s snatcher”.

The timing of the post, however, led many to interpret it as a veiled reference to Rosy Meurer, who has recently been linked to reported tensions in her marriage.

Responding to the speculation, Okorie made it clear that her message was not targeted at any individual.

She emphasised that the post was intended as guidance for younger women, stressing that she would directly name anyone if she had a personal issue with them.

Angela Okorie said her stance was rooted in promoting self-respect and discouraging actions that could lead to long-term reputational damage.

She maintained that entering into an existing relationship knowingly was not only unwise but carried lasting consequences.

The Angela Okorie Rosy Meurer Clarification comes against the backdrop of a long-standing and complex history involving Rosy Meurer and her husband, Olakunle Churchill.

The businessman was previously married to actress Tonto Dikeh, with their highly publicised separation in 2017 drawing widespread attention.

Okorie had, in the past, publicly criticised Meurer during the fallout between Churchill and Dikeh, recalling moments when Dikeh confided in her about alleged infidelity.

Those earlier remarks resurfaced as part of the current online discourse.

Other voices have also entered the conversation.

Relationship commentator Blessing Okoro urged Meurer to confront the situation directly, while reality television personality Queen Nelly Mbonu advised women to prioritise self-worth in relationships.

Churchill and Meurer married in 2022 and have two children together.

Their union followed Churchill’s previous marriage to Dikeh, which ended amid allegations of domestic abuse and irreconcilable differences, claims he has consistently denied.

Despite renewed public attention, Okorie’s latest statement seeks to draw a clear line between personal disputes and general counsel, positioning her original message as a broader social commentary rather than a targeted critique.
